Triple Head

Bronze Resin  90 x 47 x 45cm – £3500 SOLD OUT

This abstracted head sculpture is based on the multi-faced Hindu God Brahma/Vishnu/Shiva with the idea of unlimited, impartial vision. Thus, his three eyes are viewing the world from a wide, omniscient angle.

The divisions between the heads are embedded into a shared skin that inflates and deflates, opposing the laws of anatomy . I describe an alternative physical reality, matching the internal, invisible and fluid movements of feelings or breath.

For contrast, I emphasise the contrast between the massive volume of the head against the thin structure of the neck. This indicates a lofty idea with only a tentative connection to the ground – not unlike a balloon.
